Pasquale's Pizza was founded in 1953 by Pasquale (Pat) and Vincent Gramaglia in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is recognized as one of the earliest pioneering pizza chain operations in the United States. 1953 - The First Pasquale's location opened in Cincinnati Ohio. 1956 - The business began franchising, making it an early trailblazer for chain-style pizza restaurants in the country, expanding quicky into Kentucky and neighboring states with over ten locations. 1960 - Pasquale's expanded into Alabama opening locations in and around Birmingham. 1977 - The franchise network reached an all time high of 244 locations.
Through all the years, nothing much has changed — and that's exactly the point. The same dough recipe. The same slow-simmered sauce. The same faces behind the counter. We're not trying to be the newest thing in town. We're proud to be the oldest.
